about us

Welcome to Dog and Bone Club!

Established in 2016. We are a small experienced team of professional dog walkers who take pride in ensuring that every animal in our service is cared for like they are our own.

We provide enriched, force free dog walks in South Sheffield, taking advantage of all the wonderful local countryside, woods and parks.

We do this to the highest ethical standards that we can offer, using relationship based consent methods with our dogs.

We provide fear free, carefully managed socialisation and have flexibility to adjust to individual dogs needs. We run small sociable groups of 4 dogs per person, paired walks and solo walks. We also provide an at home dog sitting service as well as basic training services.

We are fully insured, first aid trained, body language trained and DBS checked.

Education is extremely important to us all, we follow a mixture of science based and holistic learning and attend many workshops and seminars to keep up to date with our knowledge.

Between us we have many qualifications and hours upon hours of seminars under our belts.

All our team have different interests in the dog world and we ensure that everyone can pursue their own passions with us.

Contact Us

Dog and Bone Club is run by Lindsey Walker and Zara Maun, we met through our love of Sighthounds and specialise in their many fun quirks. We have two Whippets, a Lurcher and a Chihuahua ourselves and love them dearly.

We do also work with a variety of other breeds, however we will only work with breeds that we are familiar with.

We pride ourselves in having an open book, friendly and transparent relationship with our customers. We allow customers to dictate how much contact they want from us, be it full daily conversations to occasional messages. We believe that no one is simply a number. We are also more than happy to work along side any professionals that your dog may be working with.

We have carefully monitored groups, choosing dogs that match each other well to enrich their lives. Many of our customers are at home with their canine pals and choose to have walks with us so their dogs can experience something different to their day to day walks.

We think it is incredibly important that the dogs in our care don't just have their physical needs met but also have their mental needs met. This is why for most dogs we choose to add fun appropriate games into their walks.

We understand that dogs have different needs or quirks and we go through these in our meet and greet which is at your property or workplace.

Our services

Sociable Dog Walks - £14

We run hour long, carefully matched sociable dog walks for friendly dogs. We have groups of 4 dogs per handler.

We transport the dogs to either the local countryside, woodland or large quiet parks dependent on which suits the group the most.

There is plenty of time on these walks to sniff, off lead exploring and there is lots of time to interact with their environment.

We also include time for low arousal games if appropriate for the group.

Paired Walks - £14

Our paired walks are designed for dogs that would find our main groups overwhelming, either due to their physical or mental differences. It is a slow paced walk for dogs who are still wanting to socialise but at a more leisurely pace. They are half an hour long. These pairs are particularly suitable for sofa loving Greyhounds.

Cat Visits - £12

During our cat visits we interact with your cat(s), clean and replenish any food, water and litter trays and can administer and necessary medication. Price is per half hour and we limit the amount of cats we take on so we can really give them an individual service.

Solo Walks - £14

Our solo walks are designed for dogs that really need that special 1:1 attention.

We have many years experience working with nervous and disabled dogs in a kind and ethical way. We can reassure you that your dogs are in the best hands. Solo spaces are very limited so please be aware there may be a waiting list for this service.

These are 30 minutes long.

Dog Sitting - £50 per day

Our dog sitting service is a service in your own home.

We provide two long walks a day and stay overnight at your property.

We try and change as little of your dogs routine as possible so they can relax while you are away. We can also care for any cats and plants at your property.

We have two options, dog sitting with one of the team for our dog walking customers and exclusive sitting with Ann which is available in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and West Yorkshire.

Please note that this priced is based on one dog per calendar day and rates for multidog households or dogs with separation anxiety will be priced at a higher rate.

Puppy Visits - £14

We take puppies very seriously at Dog and Bone Club and will only have one on the books at any time. We are very careful about how we socialise the puppies in our care. Alongside fun puppy bingo we will do other suitable activities with them. When the dog is ready we will slowly introduce them to other well mannered adult dogs with the aim that they can join our main small groups when old enough.

Yes provided this has been okayed by your vet and we are given the right directions to do so.
